The Grand Day Approaches

Ok, maybe with not so much pomp and circumstance, but saturday’s ceremony is approaching. A lot of you have asked what the attire is, and my best guideline is to shoot for a fancy picnic, sportscoats and sun dresses abound. Just as a reminder to those coming to this website for info, here’s the details of the day:

Ceremony

  • Time: 1pm
  • Location: South Ferry Church, 170 South Ferry Road, Narragansett RI 02882 [ map]
  • Notes: Please fill in where you can, its a small church! Same goes for parking.

Reception

  • Time: Directly following, about 2pm
  • Location: Yawgoo Bakes & Barbeques, 555 Slocum Rd Slocum, RI 02877 [map]
  • Notes: Hors de’ Ouvres will greet you, and please help yourself to beer, wine, and bocce! The wedding party will follow around 3pm.

We look forward to seeing all of you there!

Just a brief reminder that we’re hoping to close responses out soon for the wedding. So, if you haven’t responded yet, get on it soon, one way or another! We’re getting very close and can’t wait, but we need to know what you want to eat!

Rsvp now!

Check Your Mail

Invitations have been mailed. We know we just sent you magnets, but why not get a little formal. We’re shaking up the normal process by digitally asking you to reply to our invitations. We will also accept phone calls, if you’re not comfortable with our little web form. We understand. Frankly you are probably going to use the form if you’ve found yourself at this website. Please don’t be afraid to contact Julie or I if you have any further questions about your arrangements for attending our wedding, we’re just too excited to see everyone!

I’m frenzily trying to update the website with some more pertinent information about the ceremony and reception. You’ll find more info about local hotels and such in the Locations page. Also if you’re feeling particularly giving, please investigate our pair of registries online, or walk into the stores.

“Save the Dates” Go Out

Save the Date Design

Julie and I are stoked to finally say we’ve sent out the “save the date” cards. FYI the date is June 27th, 2009. This is actually an original design I made in a present I gave to Julie for our first Valentine’s, so I thought it was appropriate to use it for our magnets.

Yes, magnets! Stick them on your fridge, car, or garbage can! Whatever you deem necessary mark the date in your respective calendars. Chances are if you’re on this website you already received one, so welcome on in. We have all your addresses, but please subscribe to the rss, and if you’d like to be on our email list we will be sending out surveys and poll requests for those of you who want to be an active part of the planning process. All input is welcome until overridden by the bride.

We’d like your contact info, for future mailings as we need your input. We of course will not fill up your inbox.

Greetings and Salutations

I’d like to write a brief hello and introduction to this new blog. As you may or may not know, Julie and Eric are a couple living in southern Rhode Island. Right now this website’s main intention is to deliver information and answer questions about our upcoming wedding. We’re very excited about the process and hope to document the funny, sad, and stressful moments. Perhaps this backlog can serve to others trying to get married and have fun while doing it.

We are four and a half months away from the big day as of this writing, and yes we know most people were a lot further along at this point. What can I say, we’re both procrastinators sometimes. Please feel free to ask questions on topics as they’re generated, and comments are always welcome.
